Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit our pages, Netlify processes technically necessary connection data, including IP address, time of the request, the file retrieved and the browser type transmitted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and Netlify’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Request form
When you fill in the request form, the details you enter — in particular name, company, email address, optionally phone number, your project information and an optionally uploaded file — are transmitted to us and stored by Netlify. We additionally receive an email notification.
The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
We store your request until it has been fully processed, but for no longer than statutory retention periods require.
No analytics, no tracking, no cookies
This website does not use any analytics or tracking services and sets no cookies. There is no reach measurement and no profiling.
If you choose a language in the language notice, that choice is stored exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage, key “bs.locale-pref”). This information is not transmitted to us and is not readable by us. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
While you fill in the request form, your browser keeps the work in progress locally in sessionStorage (key “bs.request-draft”). It holds the details entered so far: name, company, email address, phone number, timeline and budget range, and your free-text answers. An attached file is not kept there. This data stays in your browser, is not transmitted to Bornsunday, and is deleted as soon as you submit the request or close the tab.
Fonts and external content
All fonts used are self-hosted on our own server and delivered locally. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider. The website embeds no external scripts, maps, videos or social media elements.
Rights of data subjects
You have the right to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Hessischer Beauftragter für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
